“The GROUPE IDEC INVEST Innovation fund both highlights our determination to support green growth and represents a major potential source of induced activities for the group and its subsidiaries”

Raphaël VALLÉE
Administration and Finance Manager, GROUPE IDEC

Strategic investments

Initiated by acquisition of a capital holding in EIT INNOENERGY, a major player in the field of incubation and development of innovative solutions, the GROUPE IDEC INVEST Innovation Fund, which was set up in 2021, currently brings together more than 25 start-ups that have made their mark in the energy transition and innovative technology sectors.

All the investments made by the GROUPE IDEC investment lie within key fundamental fields aimed at providing clear visibility regarding their development plans, forming part of a buoyant sector that is interesting for the group, its subsidiaries and its customers, and generating potential business activities, via joint property or site development projects.

Enriching the offers
of GROUPE IDEC

In the vast majority of cases, GROUPE IDEC’s aim when acquiring holdings in start-ups is to further enhance its skills and widen the range of offers provided for its customers via its various subsidiaries. IDEC ENERGY is linked in particular to many of the start-ups via joint work covering development and industrialisation of their solutions.

These technologies find applications in the property development projects backed by GROUPE IDEC and its subsidiaries to accompany their customers in cutting carbon levels for their business activities, enhancing their productivity and their energy independence, or reducing their operating costs.

Major potential for activities

As a property development partner of EIT INNOENERGY and all the start-ups backed by GROUPE IDEC, it is positioned de facto as a reference for all the industrial site and R&D projects imagined.

Several impressive joint ventures can already be pointed out, such as the operations carried out for VERKOR or ALEDIA, together with several other projects currently at the design phase. As things stand presently, GROUPE IDEC estimates the potential property development activities generated at more than a thousand million Euros over the short and medium term.
